| How does the system work? |
Two cameras are mounted in the front and toward the rear of the bus to provide overall coverage. BUS-WATCH cameras record images while built-in microphones capture audio which is relayed to the DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER. Data is stored on a 2.5 inch removable hard drive which is manufactured to withstand the starts, stops and jolts of buses on unpaved roads.
|
| How do I view incidents? |
Incidents which have been "flagged" or "marked" by the driver at the time of their occurance can be quickly retrieved. The hard drive module is easily removed from the recorder and hooked to a computer in the Transportation Office for viewing. An EXCLUSIVE feature of the REI system is USB Security Lockout which prevents tampering of the data.
